BigQuery Connection Issues
Most BigQuery issues resolve within 24 hours of linking. If you’re still stuck, here’s what to check, starting with the most common problems first.

What to do
Dashboard Shows “Your Data is on Its Way" After Linking
Normal for the first 24 hours. Wait for the first daily export. If it’s been more than 48 hours, check:
- •You selected attributeiq-platform as the project (not a personal project)
- •You selected Daily export (not Streaming)
- •The BigQuery link is still active in GA4 Admin → BigQuery Linking
Linked GA4 Property but Selected the Wrong Project
Go to GA4 Admin → BigQuery Linking → remove the existing link → re-link to attributeiq-platform.
Selected Streaming Instead of Daily
Go to GA4 Admin → BigQuery Linking → edit the link → change to Daily export. Only Daily export is supported for attribution data.
“No Dataset Found" Error
Possible causes:
- •BigQuery export hasn’t been linked to GA4 yet, go to GA4 Admin → BigQuery Linking
- •The BigQuery export was only recently linked, wait 24 hours for the first export
“Permission Denied” Error
Our service account doesn’t have access to your dataset. This is usually handled automatically when you link via GA4 Admin. Try unlinking and re-linking your GA4 property to BigQuery. If the issue persists, contact us.
“No Events Found” When Adding a Property
Normal for new or low-traffic properties. Events only appear once they’ve fired at least once. You can save the property without selecting events and add them later from Settings → GA4 Properties.
Property Shows “Pending Setup” Status
The property was saved but BigQuery data hasn’t arrived yet. Resolves automatically once the first daily export completes, usually within 24 hours of linking. No action needed.
