    Goals & Pacing

Goals & Pacing is your command centre for pipeline accountability. It goes beyond static dashboards to show if you’re on track to hit revenue commitments, where risk is emerging, and which levers to pull now to close gaps and protect forecast confidence.

    How Pacing Works

Set a quarterly target. Each day, we measure your progress against the time elapsed. If you fall behind, we calculate the daily run rate required to get back on track.

    Pacing calculation logic

    KPI Strip: Pipeline Goal Summary

Three cards sit above the goals table, showing your North Star metric, progress to date, and how your current pace stacks up against your target.

When a goal is achieved, the Pace Status card shows a celebration state with a party popper emoji and a “Goal achieved!” message.

    Active Goals Table

The table lists every goal you’ve set for the current period. Each row shows the goal name, progress bar, achieved value, status badge, and an actions menu for pinning, editing, or deleting.

The progress bar fills according to the percentage of target achieved. The colour encodes status: teal for on-track or exceeding, red for behind, amber for at risk. Hover any progress bar to see the precise achieved and target values.

    Goal Types

AttributeIQ supports two primary goal types, each with its own tracking logic and visual treatment.

    Pipeline Value

    Total Pipeline Influenced

Tracks the total £ value of qualified pipeline (SQLs, Opportunities, Closed Won) generated during the period. Only one pipeline goal allowed per quarter.

    Conversion Volume

    demo_booked · 50 conversions

Tracks the count of a specific conversion event (e.g. demo_booked, contact_form, purchase). Multiple conversion goals can run simultaneously.

    Adding and Editing Goals

Click the “Add Goal” button to open the goal configuration modal. Choose a goal type, set a target value and deadline, and optionally configure Slack alerts.

Add a Goal · configuration form

    Enter raw number, e.g. 2200000 for £2.2M

Send Slack reminder if behind pace

We’ll ping you when this goal falls behind schedule

To edit or delete an existing goal, click the Actions button on any goal row. The dropdown menu lets you pin the goal to the top of the table, edit the target value or deadline, or delete the goal entirely. Pinned goals stay at the top of the table regardless of sort order, useful for your quarterly pipeline goal.

    Slack Alerts and Pacing Notifications

When you enable alerts for a goal, AttributeIQ can send you a Slack reminder on a specific date. Pick a date (e.g., one month before the deadline), and if you’re behind pace on that day, you’ll get a notification with the shortfall and what you need to recover.

    Alert configuration

Set a check-in date and threshold, we’ll notify you if you’re behind

Choose a reminder date that gives you enough time to course-correct, for example, one month before the quarter ends. On that day, we’ll calculate your expected progress based on time elapsed. If you’re behind by more than your chosen threshold (20%, 30%, or 50%), you’ll get a Slack message with the exact gap and what you need daily to recover.

When to Use Goals & Pacing: Use this at the start of each quarter to set your pipeline target, then revisit it weekly as a control mechanism. When pacing drops, it becomes the basis for reallocating budget, adjusting channel focus, and resetting expectations across marketing and sales teams.
