    Claude MCP

Claude MCP lets you query your AttributeIQ data through Claude. Ask about channel performance, deal journeys, or pipeline sourcing in plain English and get a direct answer, the kind that would normally take a few clicks through filters and date pickers to find.

Claude MCP can be connected from the Claude MCP tab in Settings. If your account isn’t on a Pro plan or higher, you’ll see an upgrade prompt before you can complete the connection.

    Setup Overview

In about two minutes, you can connect AttributeIQ to Claude and start querying your data.

    1

    Open Claude Connectors

    2

    Add AttributeIQ

    3

    Authorise Access

    Step 1: Open Claude Connectors

Claude connectors are how Claude connects to external data sources. You manage them from your Claude account settings, they work across Claude on the web, desktop, and mobile once added.

    Step by Step

    1

Go to claude.ai/customize/connectors or open Claude, click your profile picture, then Settings → Connectors

    2

You’ll see a list of connected and available integrations

    3

Click the + button in the top right to add a new custom connector

Step 2: Add AttributeIQ as a Connector

You’ll be adding AttributeIQ as a custom MCP connector using the server URL below. Claude uses this URL to discover what tools are available and how to call them.

    MCP Server URL

    https://attribute-iq.com/api/mcp/server

    Filling in the Connector Form

    1

Paste https://attribute-iq.com/api/mcp/server into the Remote MCP server URL field

    2

Set OAuth Client ID to claude-ai

    3

Leave OAuth Client Secret blank, AttributeIQ uses PKCE authentication, no secret needed

    4

    Click Add Connector

    Step 3: Authorise Access

After adding the connector, Claude will immediately redirect you to AttributeIQ to approve access. This is a standard OAuth flow, the same kind used by every modern app integration.

    Completing Authorisation

    1

A browser window opens and takes you to the AttributeIQ authorisation page

    2

Log in with your AttributeIQ account if prompted

    3

Click Allow Access to grant Claude permission to read your attribution data

    4

You’ll be redirected back to Claude. The connector status will show Connected

    5

Open a new chat and start with: “Using AttributeIQ, give me an account overview”, Claude will confirm which properties are connected and suggest what to ask next

    Available Tools

AttributeIQ exposes seven tools to Claude. You never call these directly, Claude picks the right one based on your question. This is a reference so you know what data is available.

    ToolBest ForWhat it returns
    get_account_overviewAlways first

Connected GA4 properties, HubSpot status, your plan, and suggested starting questions. Claude uses this to orient itself before answering anything else.

    get_attribution_summaryChannel performance

Channel-level attribution (organic, paid, direct, email, AI referral) with journey counts. Supports natural language dates and period-over-period comparison.

    get_content_pipelineContent & pages

Page-level attribution showing which URLs appear in conversion journeys. Filter by URL path (e.g. /blog) to focus on specific content.

    get_conversion_summaryExecutive overview

Total conversions, average touchpoints per journey, and top pages by conversion influence.

    get_deal_touchpointsIndividual contacts

Full page-by-page journey for a specific contact. Search by email, name, or GA4 client ID. Includes linked HubSpot deal data.

    get_pipeline_dealsHubSpot pipeline

HubSpot deals with attribution context: deal name, value, stage, and total influenced pipeline. Requires HubSpot to be connected.

    list_propertiesMulti-property accounts

All GA4 properties you own or have been invited to, with HubSpot connection status per property.

    Verify the Connection

Once connected, open a new Claude chat and run through this quick checklist.

    Connection Checklist

Connector shows as Connected in Claude

Go to claude.ai/customize/connectors. The AttributeIQ row should show a green Connected status.

    Account overview returns your data

In a new chat, ask “Give me an account overview.” Claude should return your property names, conversion events, and HubSpot status.

    Attribution data loads correctly

Ask “Show me my attribution for the last 28 days.” Claude should return channel breakdown with journey counts, not an error.

    Settings tab shows Connected

In AttributeIQ, go to Settings → Integrations → Claude MCP. The status should show Connected with your session count.

    Troubleshooting

    IssuePossible CausesSolution
    Authentication error when connecting
    • OAuth Client ID wasn’t set to claude-ai
    • Authorisation window closed before completing
    • AttributeIQ session expired before approving

Remove the connector in Claude settings, then re-add it using the exact steps above. Complete the authorisation window without closing it.

Claude says it has no attribution data
    • Account overview wasnt called first
    • GA4 property hasn’t finished its first data sync
    • Connected token was revoked from Settings → Claude MCP

Start a new chat and ask "Give me an account overview" before asking data questions. This gives Claude the property IDs it needs.

    HubSpot deal data isn’t showing
    • HubSpot isn’t connected for the selected GA4 property
    • No contacts synced from HubSpot
    • Deal was created after the last HubSpot sync

Go to Settings → HubSpot, confirm the property is connected, and run a manual sync. Then retry the question in Claude.

Settings tab shows Not Connected after authorising
    • OAuth flow completed but token wasnt written to the database
    • Authorised with a different AttributeIQ account than the one you’re logged into

Disconnect and reconnect the connector in Claude. Make sure you’re logged into the same AttributeIQ account in both the settings tab and the authorisation window.
